The Best Fashion Ads Of Spring 2015

By Alexia Gonzalez on April 1, 2015

Along with sunny days and beautiful foliage, one of the most anticipated aspects of the spring season has to be the start of a brand new fashion cycle.

This time of the year marks the entrance of fabulous new fashion trends and very luxe designer collections.

For most of us mere fashion mortals, the ability to attend fashion week, visit designer showrooms, or even hold one of these couture garbs in our hands seems like a foreign concept.

Luckily, we have the ability to search the web and peruse fashion magazines in order to experience a taste of the latest designer trends.

One of the best and most accessible means of fashion edification has to be the very visceral ad campaigns in lieu of designer’s totally fresh spring collections. In these perpetually chic ads, we get to see our favorite super models and celebrity faces decked out in the most lavish and sought after garbs of the latest spring collections.

There’s nothing that I love more than wrapping my hands around a mug of tea and skimming through the latest Vogue or Vanity Fair to catch a glimpse of the epitome of fashion luxury in the form of the spring ad campaigns.

From Chanel, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana to Marc Jacobs to name a few, the glamorous aesthetic of the spring ad campaigns reflects the glory of the very chic and new seasonable collections, allowing us basic humans an entrance into sartorial divinity.

Check out some of the latest and greatest advertising campaigns for the 2015 spring fashion season.

Chanel

Kristen Stewart may still be known for her turn in Twilight but these days we’re more likely to see the actress in Chanel than in anything that looks reminiscent of a teenage vampire.

While Kristen has been a model for designer Karl Lagerfeld since 2013, the latest ads for Chanel’s 11.12 handbag may be her best yet. The moody black and white photographs manage to capture Kristen’s laid-back spirit – notice she’s wearing a white tee under that Chanel suit – while still evoking the classic brand’s spirit.

Chanel also used a simple yet feminine approach with their black and white images of supermodel Gisele Bündchen out and about in the streets of Paris while wearing a classic Chanel tweed tailored skirt suit.

Balmain

One of my favorite campaigns of spring/summer 2015 has to be by legendary fashion house, Balmain. The Parisian brand recruited a supermodel powerhouse to model the latest garbs from their ready-to-wear collection.

The exuberance of the collection, riddled with vibrant colors and electric prints, is reflected in their latest ad campaign.

Featuring models Adriana Lima, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Crista Cober, Isabeli Fontana and Joan Smalls and photographed by the genius Mario Sorrenti, the ad campaign features the models partaking in very un-model like behavior.

From fist fighting to video gaming, the action in the images is contrasted with the beautiful subjects and their stunning attire.

The brand even recruited power couple Kanye West and Kim Kardashian for their equally powerful menswear campaign.

Dior

Dior depicted a very polished and natural looking Jennifer Lawrence photographed by Paolo Roversi for their spring collection.

The fresh looking starlet is seen against a clean white backdrop wearing one of the collection’s structured tuxedo dresses, black pointed pumps, and a pastel pink and yellow handbag.

Karen Walker

Eyewear designer Karen Walker blew the fashion world away with her latest spring campaign featuring the most unique model of all: Toast, the dog.

The current face of the brand, Toast is a toothless King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, who was originally discovered living in cruel circumstances, rescued, and quickly rocketed to fame on instagram thanks to her wonderful looks, charming personality and inimitable sense of humor.

In the images, lensed by Tom Schirmacher, the pooch sports Walker’s five newest styles, including a fresh version of the signature crazy-tort shades with a two-tone finish. I’d say Toast nailed every shot.

Chloé

Chloé portrayed its ethereal namesake with a majestic and boho chic spring campaign. The gypsy inspired spread, features Caroline Trentini and Eniko Mihalik, strolling on a beach shoreline with two majestic horses in tow and freely running in flowing gowns.

The images perfectly capture the hippy aesthetic of the brand’s flirty and feminine spring collection.

Roberto Cavalli

The house of Cavalli portrayed a very chic side of rap-stress Nicki Minaj in their spring ad campaign. The singer appeared elegant sprawled over a fur rug in a dramatic white lace gown. Her hair-do and cat eye liner provide a very retro chic appeal.

Emilio Pucci

Emilio Pucci reverted to its 1970s roots with a very trippy spring campaign. The kaleidoscope effect in the images portrays an acid trip of florals and vibrant colors starring model Natasha Poly.

The campaign’s eccentric feel mirrors the electric and geometric prints synonymous with the brand’s aesthetic.

H&M

Swedish brand H&M definitely did not overlook menswear this season, with their ultra sexy and masculine images of David Beckham.

To show off the latest in men’s fashion, the brand made sure to depict Beckham’s best … assets.
